Sun Chaser/Sea Fantasy MDA Boat Charter Fact Sheet

Boat Rules - Please be aware that the following rules apply on all MDA boats:
• Boats leave the dock 1/2 hour after listed "show" time • Unless indicated, no equipment is provided • No children under 3 • No unattended minors (under 18yrs) • Diving will not be permitted without a personal timing device and depth instruments. • Safety Sausages (signal tubes) are required for all divers. • Please check trip status 24hrs prior to departure (472-6321)

Reservations:  Our boats are popular!  Please call us as far in advance as possible in order to get the specific day you have in mind.  One month’s notice is usually the minimum, especially for a weekend reservation.

Fees:  The boat fee is $200.00 per hour, with a minimum of three hours (Max 4 hrs). Military rates are available as well. In general, you should schedule a minimum of three hours for a one-tank trip and four hours for a two-tank trip.  A $100.00 deposit is required to hold your reservation.  Full payment must be made five days prior to departure.

Cancellations:  Cancellations must be made at least one week prior to your trip date or you will forfeit your deposit.  Trips cancelled by MDA due to inclement weather/rough sea conditions will be rescheduled or fully refunded.

What’s included:  Boat, captain and crew.  An ice chest is on board, tea and water.

What’s not included:  Food, drinks, ice, additional ice chests, picnic supplies, etc.

Dive & Snorkeling gear:  Is not included but may be rented at the special rate. 1 full set of dive gear (BC, reg., weights, & 2 tanks) $18. Scuba gear cannot be delivered to the boat. Snorkel bucket (10 Sets of Mask & Snorkel) $25.  To take advantage of this offer, we need a list of people renting, along with the gear they need two days prior to the scheduled trip.

Capacity:  Our vessels are rated for 30 maximum divers.  The maximum is 40 people on board for snorkel groups.  If you have a “mixed” group, please contact the boat operations department to find out the number of maximum passengers.

Age Restrictions:  No children under 3 years of age are allowed.  Pre-school children on board must be accompanied by an adult at all times.  Note:  all children are counted and included on the passenger count.

Attire:  Casual beach wear, sandals or zoris (sensible footwear for wet boat decks).  No high heels or prom clothes.

What Else?  Don’t forget to bring sunscreen.  Although our waters are usually very calm, some passengers may be more comfortable taking sea-sick medication prior to departure.  A change of clothes and extra towels for the kids is a good idea.  Don’t over pack – space is limited. Most of all, PREPARE TO HAVE FUN!
