Micronesian Divers Association (MDA) is a private corporation chartered on Guam, and has been in operation since 1982. MDA (originally started by Pete and Linda Peterson) started the diving tour business on Guam and has since grown to be the largest full service dive facility in the Western Pacific region.
We have three retail stores. The Piti store is one of the largest full service dive centers in the world. Our U.S. Navy Exchange (NEX) Dive and Snorkeling Center is actually split into two locations - inside the main Navy Exchange and at the Sumay Cove Marina. Both locations offer a full selection of dive and snorkel equipment. Located at the marina, the Sumay center has a dock facility for our dive boats as well as a full service air and rental department. MDA has the exclusive contract for all sales and training for dive and snorkeling water activities on all Navy facilities on Guam.
Our wholesale division, Deep Blue Dist., is located in the Piti facility and distributes products to various hotels and dive operations on Guam and throughout Micronesia.
Our Aquatech repair department is located at our Piti facility and is the largest and only diagnostic testing facility in the Western Pacific. It offers full service for Scubapro, Oceanic, Aeris, Hollis, Aqualung, Sea Quest, Tabata, OMS, and several other equipment lines. Aquatech is also the exclusive sales and service distributor for Bauer compressors and Volvo Penta boat parts.
Aquaquest Tour and Travel specializes in dive and “soft adventure” travel to areas throughout Micronesia as well as other exotic destinations throughout the Asia Pacific region.
We are fully sanctioned to teach all dive programs through the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI), and have been awarded the highest rating in diving as a PADI Career Development Center (CDC). Our Navy Exchange Dive and Snorkeling Center is a certified PADI training facility.
The MDA dive boat operations division has 2 - 42' custom dive boats. Our 5 experienced/100 ton licensed boat captains lead our staff of English, Japanese and Chinese speaking dive guides and instructors.
