Chuuk (Truk Lagoon)

Welcome to Wreck Diver's Paradise!

What is the attraction of Truk Lagoon? How about a lagoon 30 miles long with great metal "ship-reefs" serving as magnets for an incredible variety of marine life, corals, and (of course) the artifacts of the war.

Truk Lagoon (Chuuk) is famous throughout the diving world for its WWII Japanese shipwrecks. There are over 30 really dive able wrecks (some might tell you more) and what most people don't realize is that Truk offers perhaps the EASIEST diving of all the islands in Micronesia, with Guam being the exception. These wrecks are very "diver friendly" as most of them offer diving in the 40-90' range and are literally right below the dive boat!

An added bonus is that island tours can be taken between dives. These short 20-40 minute walks in Dublon, Eten and Param give you a true taste of the real island living as well as seeing old tanks, buildings and other relics left over from the war years.

Take a video tour of some of the shipwrecks. There are many different videos , all in high quality 'instant view'.

The Truk Blue Lagoon Resort is located on the most scenic spot on Moen and offers a variety of rooms.  There’s a fantastic view of the lagoon and the grounds are beautiful. Blue Lagoon Dive Shop has been taking divers out since 1968.  Their modern shop is directly outside the grounds of the Blue Lagoon Resort.  They can supply rental equipment on a per day basis if necessary.  Full services including Nitrox.

The Truk Stop Hotel (closer to the main center of Moen and a very nice hotel) is run by Bill and Kiki Stinnett. Truk Stop Hotel offers an in house travel agency, a restaurant with great pizza, and a walkway from the hotel to their deep water dock for pickup by the dive boats.

Dive with Truk Lagoon Dive Center, located a just few steps outside the Truk Stop Hotel. You'll be visiting Truk's most popular wrecks. Walk down their private pier to their fully outfitted boats and you're on your way to experience, first hand, the historical underwater wonders that are Truk Lagoon.

Their extremely knowledgeable staff and PADI instructor will guide you on your day or night dives. What better place to complete your Wreck Diver certification! Whether you dive with pure air or Nitrox, it's available. Upgrade to Ocean view room is possible at the Truk Stop for an additional fee. Single supplement rate is available upon request. Additional nights and dive days can be added upon request.
