Welcome to Wreck Divers Paradise!
What is the attraction of Truk Lagoon? How about a lagoon 30 miles long with great metal "ship-reefs" serving as magnets for an incredible variety of marine life, corals, and (of course) the artifacts of the war. Exploding the myth: Is it difficult to dive the wrecks of Truk? Are they all deep? we'll give you a no nonsense answer here.
Truk Lagoon (Chuuk) is famous throughout the diving world for it's WWIIJapanese shipwrecks. There are over 30 really diveable wrecks (some might tell you more) and what most people don't realize is that Truk offers perhaps the EASIEST diving of all the islands in Micronesia , with Guam being the exception. These wrecks are very "diver friendly" as most of them offer diving in the 40-90' range and are literally right below that dive boat!
An added bonus are the island tours that can be taken between dives. These short 20-40 minute walks in Dublon, Eten and Param give you a true taste of the real island living as well as seeing the old tanks, buildings and other relics left over from the war years.
